We are still not over Sacred Games Season 1. With complex characters like Kukoo and Bunty, the series was nothing less than a roller coaster ride. And Netflix recently dropped the trailer for Sacred Games 2 and we are already excited. Here are a few things you might have missed during the trailer.
Ganesh Gaitonde is Alive?
In the trailer we can clearly see huge amount of footage featuring Gaitonde. At exactly 0:20 of the trailer it can be seen that someone is feeding something to him and he wakes up. Is he really alive or there is going to be simply some flashback story? Now there is a possibility that he is actually dead but only his voice is alive. We know that he has an entire setup of voice recordings and modulations system. Whatever the case maybe the footage has created a great buzz all over the internet.
Introduction to Ranveer Shorey
Here it is shown that someone is trying to solve the mystery that surrounds Gaitonde and the danger that is about to fall upon the city. On this visual board we can see Ranveer Shorey’s picture named as Shahid Khan. But later in the trailer we see that the Ranveer as a cop, catching a man who is either a criminal or ?. But is he really a cop or just another puppet in the drama? His picture alongside Gaitonde raises our eyebrows for sure.
The Clan is Here
We see Guruji sitting in front of a crowd and delivering a speech. But the speech isn’t the concern. The important thing that needs attention, are the people sitting in the rows. There are several people clad in yellow robes that signify that they are followers of this Guruji. We see some major characters of season 1 here. And this surely hints that this entire clan is up to creating some great trouble. It is quite evident that the head of this clan is the mastermind behind all the killings and blasts. Will the police be successful in catching the culprit? We must wait until 15th August to know it.
The Multi Talented Kalki Coechlin
So, yes we are going to see another new face this season. And that’s Kalki Coechlin. In admiration of her beautiful face, you must have missed the background which is an important plot hint. In the background you can see the symbol on the curtains. That’s the exact symbol which was engraved on the floor of Ganesh Gaitonde’s secret den. We are not sure of her role in the series but the later footage of her shows that she is sitting in front of Saif’s Character. We see her taking a pill, which is probably a drug. So this sums up to the possibility that she being a member of the clan, will try to deviate the investigation by drugging Inspector Sartaj (Saif Ali Khan).
Aham Brahmasmi (The Acting PowerHouse – Pankaj Tripathi)
The trailer of Sacred Games 2 comes to an end with Guruji chanting a verse in Sanskrit. It echoes throughout the end credits. The verse is “Aham Brahmasmi”. It can be translated as “I am the universe” or “The Universe is in me”. This can indicate a major plot layout. This man is claiming to be universe, that can be interpreted that he is the one doing the entire troublesome thing. He is the one who is making people dance on his threads.
Hold your breath, its just a month away and the countdown has already started..
