1. Careful Selection
You must select your partner wisely. You must have knowledge about their personality. If the other person is emotionally weak probably they might get attached to you and it will make things awkward and boring.
2. Learn to Stay Emotionally Neutral
There is nothing wrong with being Emotional but in relationships, emotions bring a sense of possessiveness. And in friends with benefits situations things go west because of emotions. So you should keep all negative, positive emotions as far as possible. Any emotion is bad emotion here.
3. Don’t Jump into Bed Every Day
I know it is the core of this relationship but don’t hook up every night. If you are meeting someone daily, you might generate feelings and as I explained, any emotion is bad emption in this relationship. Go out with different partners instead!
4. Minimum Communication is the Key
Texting or having phone calls should be avoided as much as possible. Texting might freak out your partner. She/he may think you are into them or are getting attached to them. So, keep communications to a minimum.
5. Don’t Imagine It As a Regular Relationship
This relationship is only limited under the sheets and inside closed doors. So in no way this is a regular relationship. Don’t ask for dates or movies. Treat that person like a “friend”. That’s it.
6. Don’t Cuddle
According to psychologists, cuddling creates a bond between two persons and it is not necessary here. After getting done with the heat and the sweat, get ready and leave straight away. No hugs at the door, no cuddles in the bed. All these create an attachment and you don’t want it here.
7. Don’t Sleepover
Sleepovers should be avoided unless it’s an emergency. You should know that just because you are sharing intimate moments with a person, doesn’t mean you should sleepover at their house. Leave as soon as you get chance.
8. Avoid Exes
Never become friends with benefits with your ex, I repeat, NEVER. You may enjoy it initially but it will hurt you later on. So, keep exes away from these relationships.
9. Better Safe Than Sorry
Being safe should be everyone’s first concern. Whether its friends with benefits or a regular one, always stay protected. Don’t be shy to buy a contraceptive or protection; your health should be your priority.
10. Everything Expires
Just like every other thing in the universe, these relationships will also end one day and you shouldn’t be disheartened. Don’t cry because it ended, smile because it happened. Start your search afresh! 😉
Want some fun..
