A few hours ago, Netflix India in promotion of its upcoming original series, Bard of Blood, released a new YouTube video. In the four-minute video, we can see producer Shah Rukh Khan and actor Emraan Hashmi sharing screen. In the video we see SRK making self-deprecating jokes about his own legacy.

The video was an introduction of Emraan Hashmi’s character as an elite spy. We see Shah Rukh interrogating Imraan as himself. He challenges Emraan to crack his phone’s password. Emraan cracks it in a jiffy and says “Palat ja Simran”. Shah Rukh was impressed “Wow, how did you do this?” To which Emraan replies, “It’s my job to enter the psyche of the person sitting in front of me, Mr. Khan.”

As the video progressed, we saw Emraan break out of his handcuffs and even calls Shah Rukh ‘a complete idiot’. The video ends as we see Emraan walking out of the interrogation and SRK offering him a banana. “At least tell me your name,” he says. “Bard of Blood,” says Emraan, and walks away and leaving SRK asking him what his surname is: “Khanna, Kumar, Hashmi?”

Bard of Blood is based on Bilal Siddiqui’s book by the same name. The story is about an expelled spy, Kabir Anand who is recalled from his new life as a Shakespeare professor in Panchgani to save his country and long-lost love.

Red Chillies Entertainment shared the video on Instagram and wrote, “Legendary actor vs. legendary spy. Who will win this battle of wits @iamsrk @therealemraan @netflix_in #BardOfBlood”

We will also see Kirti Kulhari, Vineet Kumar Singh, Jaideep Ahlawat, Amyra Dastur and Sobhita Dhulipala in pivotal roles in Bard Of Blood. Directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. It will be streamed on September 27, 2019.
