Sexual Preferences have always been taboo and have never been respected in our country. Until some time back, our judiciary decided to remove Section 377 of IPC and and made it legal here as well. We believe that sexual preferences are one’s own choice and should be respected.

There are a few celebrities as well who are proud of their sexual orientation. We bring to you a list of a few of those. Please have a look.

Vasu Primlani

She is a lesbian stand-up comedian and is known for undertaking different issues in her schedule, including rape, human rights, and environment. During an interview with Speaking Minds, she congratulated the nation but warned that there is still a social dishonor against LGBT+ people in India.

Karan Johar

Karan Johar has always been giving hints about his sexuality but never spoke openly about it, until section 377 was removed. He also wrote in his book that speaking about his real self may get him in trouble. It was only after the section was removed, that he started talking about it openly.

Apurva Asrani

He is an Award-winning filmmaker, editor and writer and who has also known for working on popular movies like Satya (1998), Shahid (2013) and CityLights (2014). He is one of few openly gay men in Bollywood.

Shonali Bose

Shonali Bose is a film director, writer and producer, who is openly bisexual, and is known for making beautiful movies including Amu (2005) and Margarita with a Straw (2015), which is about two women living with disabilities who fall in love with one another.

Drew Barrymore

The Santa Clarita Diet star came out as bisexual in 2003. She has been married and divorced three times, to Jeremy Thomas, Tom Green and Will Kopelman.

Kesha

She came out as bisexual in 2013, and she has also officiated at two same sex weddings. Kesha returned to the spotlight in July 2017, and she brought a rainbow with her. Her new album is clearly about celebrating pride month and LGBT pride.

Cara Delevingne

Sorry to break your heart guys, but this gorgeous lady is interested in women. She said she hasn’t been open about her sexuality because she was afraid about the fact that it may ruin her career. She has also suffered depression because of this.

Kristian Nairn AKA Hodor in GOT

Our beloved Hodor came out as gay in 2014. During an interview he said “Well, in all honesty, when you talk about ‘the gay community,’ you are talking about my community, haha.”

Jim Parsons

Now who doesn’t like Sheldon from “The Big Bang Theory” ? This talented actor came out in 2012 and recently got married to his partner in a beautiful ceremony.

Miley Cyrus

The wrecking ball singer came out as Pansexual in 2015. She explained that she is gender neutral and doesn’t feel like any particular gender.
