Looks like for Donald Trump keeping out of the limelight for bizarre comments or statements are increasingly difficult. For his second United Kingdom tour, in the month itself, the President stayed as a guest of the Queen, for 3 days.
His latest controversies include the nasty Meghan Markle comments, to addressing Prince Charles as “Prince of Whales”. However, his latest statement leaves us all in wonder and placing him back on the news list.
The Trump family had arrived for their UK Tour with intricate planning, timing and days sketched down from when he would meet Prince Charles and Camilla for Afternoon tea to a sit-down state banquet which failed to see RSVPs from a lot of politicians.
Queen Elizabeth II ascended the throne in February 1952 after her father deceased and has since then met nearly all US President. The 93-year-old monarch hosted the US President and first lady Melania Trump for an official State Visit filled with pomp and circumstance last week, including dinner at Buckingham Palace.
Put on record was the statement, made by Donald Trump:
“I have such a great relationship, and we were laughing and having fun. And her people said she hasn’t had so much fun in 25 years. Then I got criticized for it because they said we were having too much fun,” Trump told Fox News’ “Fox and Friends” during a phone interview Friday.
Twitter seems to be all over the place on his remark. However, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said Trump’s comments are “not something we would comment on.”
