Due to the security reasons, the movie was not able to be shot at ISRO so the production directors had to make individual sets for various scenes of the film to make it look real and believable. Following this, they had to create various sets and miniature models of Satellites, Launch vehicle rockets and its payload. The detailing in the movie did cost a lot of money to the producers. According to the Production Designer, Sandeep Sharad Ravade, they did not take any of their ideas from Hollywood space movies related to the set designing. As he says and I quote, “ISRO is ISRO, and we do not want to create something that is artificial or hyper-real. We stuck to the ground rules of ISRO, the simplicity of its people, their lifestyle and home environment.”
