India wrapped out the West Indies team for a bare 100 runs in their second innings. It was a 318-run victory on the fourth day of the first Test. With this win, India extended their undefeated streak against the West Indies to 22 matches. And this is also their longest winning-run against any opponent in the test cricket format. But, on the other hand, West Indies registered an unwanted record of their longest ever winless streak against any opponent in Test Cricket.

India resumed their innings at 185/3 and they went on to add 158 runs more to their tally to take the score up to 343 runs and gain a lead of 418 runs on day four of the test.

Windies batsmen were unable to stay at the crease for a long time in the second innings. Their entire team was washed out within 27 overs. India bowled West Indies out merely 100 runs and their lowest total against us in Test cricket history.

The result gave Virat Kohli the joint-most number of victories as India captain, tying for 27 wins with MS Dhoni.
He has also surpassed Sourav Ganguly (11) for most away wins as India captain.
After resuming the day at 185 for three, Rahane scored a good 102-runs but young batsman Hanuma Vihari (93) missed out on his maiden Test century by only seven runs.

The match was a real treat for cricket lovers and fans from both the countries.
