This year the era of web series is taking an interesting turn as the video streamers are adding some spicy stuff. There’s some good news for the lovers of drama and thriller as the Mindhunter series is coming back on Netflix with its another season. Mindhunter is an American crime drama and psychological thriller created by Joe Penhall that is based on a true crime book written by John Douglas and Mark Olshaker named “Mindhunter: Inside The FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit”. John Douglas has the experience of incarcerating some of the most famous psychopaths of the world in his long career.
The first season of the show got wildly famous among netizens and they were desperately waiting for its season 2 to release. It’s time to rejoice for all those Mindhunter fans as their wait will finally be over on 16th August 2019. That’s right, the Mindhunter is making a comeback on Netflix in just a few days. For those who have been holding their breath due to all those interesting cliffhangers provided by the show will get their curiosities fed soon.
The trailer of season 2 is already released on YouTube. The new season features the story of some infamous child murderers in Atlanta from the late 70s to early 80s. The trailer shows the meet between Holden Ford and Bill Tench who are the murder investigators with Charles Manson. Charles Manson despite his tiny appearance is seen in a terrifying role. Set in Atlanta, the new season is directed by David Fischer and Andrew Dominik.
After the release of the first season of Mindhunter in October 2017, Netflix confirmed the release of season 2 in November in the same year. The official cast of the show including Holden Ford, Ed Kemper, Bill Tench, Tom Cobey is returning on Netflix for the renewed round of deviant psychology. The first season had a total number of 10 episodes but the season 2 will only be having 8 episodes.

Even though it felt like forever but the wait is over as season 2 is right around the corner. From the official cast, Holden Ford, Bill Tench, Dennis Rader, Dr. Wendy Carr, and Ed Kemper is coming back on the show. The season has also added the character of Charles Manson who will be played by Damon Herriman. The interesting fact related to his casting is that he also plays the same character in Quentin Tarantino’s latest movie ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’.
After Joe Penhall left the show as a lead writer, now the director of the show David Fincher has taken over the series and according to the sources, a lot is going to change. Well, whatever the changes are, we hope that they are good and would contribute to making the show even more interesting.
