We all have a love-hate relationship with reality TV shows. So many people want to become contestants at these shows. Some people say those are scripted, and for some these shows are love. So many people become a household names and get fame overnight via reality TV shows. However, some stay in our minds for a few months and some for just a few days. There are just those lucky few who make their mark in the long run and are able to make a career out of these shows. Today, let us take a look at some of the reality tv show contestants, who made it really BIG and became a part of our lives.
Arijit Singh
Arijit is the perfect example of “Winning a defeat”. He was a contestant at a show called ” Fame Gurukul”. Although he didn’t win the show, he won over the industry instead. There was no looking back for the singer after the amazing love song Tum Hi Ho from Aashiqui 2. Arijit’s songs made small budget movies famous overnight, like Hate Story 2 (Aaj Phir Tum Pe), Jackpot (Kabhi Jo Badal Barse) and Citylights (Muskurane).

Ranvijay Singh
Rannvijay can be easily referred to as the face of the reality TV Show “Roadies”.
He was the winner of the first season, Rannvijay joined as a VJ with MTV and then became the host, and went on to become the judge of the show.
Ayushman Khurrana
Just like Ranvijay, Ayushman was also a contestant and winner of Roadies. He was also reeled in by MTV and began hosting various shows.
Having debuted with the successful Vicky Donor, his acting career too has taken off. Today, he is one of the most beloved actors of Bollywood and has stunned us with his versatility. His roles always have a different edge, as we last saw in Dream Girl, and now we are waiting for his next masterstroke : “Bala”.
Kapil Sharma
This man needs no introduction. Kapil Sharma rose to fame after winning the comedy reality television show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2007, for which he won a cash prize of INR ₹10 lakh. He was previously one of the contestants in the Punjabi show Hasde Hasande Ravo on MH One channel. Today he has his own comedy TV Show.
Shakti Mohan
This beautiful dancer won the second season of Dance India Dance. Today, she can be seen as a choreographer for various movies and shows. She also is a judge in the new dance show “Dance Plus”. Her dance moves are amazing and have gone viral so many times.
Divyanka Tripathi
She is a regular face on the small screen. Divyanka was the winner of the Bhopal zone of Zee Cinestars Ki Khoj and is now one of the most popular actresses on TV. She rose to fame by playing a dual role in Zee TV’s Banoo Main Teri Dulhann. Currently, she is playing the character of Dr. Ishita Bhalla in Star Plus’s Ye Hai Mohabbatein.
