1. Early morning movies
Many people have no idea about this that the early morning shows are the cheapest. Even at Inox, you can watch a Bollywood movie at a price as low as Rs.90. The same movie ticket is priced at Rs.170-Rs.190 later in the day.
2. Use your own bank ATM points
When you use ATMs of other banks, they deducted a certain amount as service charge. To avoid this, use your own bank ATM.
3. Use coupons
Coupons are lifesavers, hence you must use them wisely. Save as many coupons as you get, as month-end is a cruel time.
4. Shop at local stores
Malls and shopping centers charge you more. Seriously. Shop at local stores. This will save you some money and also help the local people to get through their month-end.
5. Use own shopping bags
While shopping, the shops charge Rs.5 per bag. That is some unnecessary spending. Suppose you need 3 bags, you will spend Rs.15 just for the bags that you are never going to use again. So take your own bags to shop. It will help the environment too if you use jute/cloth bags instead of plastic ones.
6. Cook at home
Cooking at home is healthy as well as money-saving. Suppose you spend Rs.300 for a good meal. But if you buy the raw materials and cook yourself, you may end up making 3 meals in Rs.300. And save some for the next day too.
7. Download e-books instead of buying books
If you are a book lover, it is very difficult not to read a book. But if it is month end, then it will be difficult to buy that novel, you wanted to read for so long. So, in that case, you may download the ebooks, instead of buying the book. Ebooks are available on many websites for free.
8. Use public transport
Public transports are very cheap and eco-friendly. They can take you to your destination in a quarter of the price than personal transport. You save money on petrol bills and maintenance charges.
9. Don’t go shopping on an empty stomach
It is scientifically proven that when people go shopping on an empty stomach, they tend to shop more and mostly useless items. Hunger makes you crave for materials and you shop more. So eat well, before you go shopping.
10. Drinks At Happy Hours
We all know that happy hours are the best time to have drinks at cheaper rates. If you can resist alcohol for a week or two then avoid going to bars, otherwise, happy hours is your time to go.
